This year’s World Cup football marathon kicks off on Thursday with a game between host nation Brazil and Croatia. And to get themselves hyped up for the upcoming tournament, football fans should check out these 12 awesome commercials that will get them in the right mood for World Cup action.

Nike’s ads perfectly remind us why football is so awesome. In the first video Nike talks about dreams coming through, while in the second it pits a team of clones against the real football stars – all in incredible animation.

Adidas’ ads are much shorter, and feature current and past football stars in various instances, some funnier than others.

Beats’s ad, which was released a few days ago, is equally impressive in telling its own story about football.

Samsung’s recent Galaxy 11 ad is worse than previous commercials from the series, but it’s still good enough when it comes to football action

Bank of Chile’s ad features the miners that were trapped underground for a long period a time a few years ago. The clear message is that nothing is impossible, even if Chile will have to face tough adversaries in its World Cup group.

MacDonald’s ad shows that basically anyone can play football, no matter who, or where they are.

The Bavaria Holandress commercial is mostly about beer, but also about Brazil, the Netherlands and football.

The Sun’s World Cup ad is also packed with a cool, hard to perform, football trick.

Hyundai’s ad, meanwhile, has something to do with cars. And how a car could help with football.

Finally, the Movistar ad takes various stars from Spain, the current World Cup title holders, and puts them to work different jobs.
