Samsung’s brand new Galaxy S5 doesn’t officially launch until next Friday, but a number of eager retailers are getting a jump on the competition by selling the hotly anticipated handset right now. Several wireless carriers in South Korea began selling the Galaxy S5 last week in an effort to promote purchases ahead of an upcoming nationwide cell phone sales ban. Now, at least five third-party sellers on Amazon’s site in the United States have begun to sell the new flagship smartphone as well.

As noted by 9to5Google, unlocked Galaxy S5 units are now available for sale on Amazon. Prices start at $825 with no associated service contract, and all five sellers state in their listings that units ship within one to three days after orders are made. In other words, people who place orders on Tuesday could have the Galaxy S5 in their hands a week before the handset launches on April 11th.

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 specs include a 5.1-inch full HD display, a quad-core 2.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, microSDXC support, a 16-megapixel camera, a fingerprint scanner, a 2,800 mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
