Sprint’s and T-Mobile’s Galaxy S5 versions may have been already spotted in user agent profiles, Sam Mobile reveals, with both handset versions tipped to be Samsung’s dumber Galaxy S5 models. An analyst has recently said in a note to investors that the Galaxy S5 will come in “Prime” and a “Standard” versions that won’t be differentiated just by different processors. In addition to different processors, the two models would also have different screen quality, and RAM memory.
Recent AnTuTu benchmark leaks have also listed different Galaxy S5 candidates, echoing that report. Specifically, the Galaxy S5 Prime model will have a 2K display and 3GB of RAM, while the dumber Standard model would “only” pack a Full HD display and 2GB of RAM.
Sprint’s Galaxy S5 – believed to be the SM-G900P – was spotted on the carrier’s website, with the phone tipped to have a 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) screen. T-Mobile’s SM-G900T Galaxy S5 has been spotted on Samsung’s website, also sporting a Full HD screen.
The SM-G900 is said to be the family of the Galaxy S5, although that’s yet to be confirmed. The SM-G900 line has various different devices whose model numbers are differentiated by a letter – SM-G900x, where “x” is replaced by “P” for the rumored Sprint version for example – that will be launched in different markets. The same “P” and “T” models seen in these user agent profiles have been previously included in an extended list showing the different purported Galaxy S5 model versions.
The Galaxy S5 will be unveiled on February 24 during at MWC 2014.
