The Galaxy Round is just a warmup act. Per Engadget, it seems that Samsung CEO Kwon Oh Hyun has vowed that the company will release mobile devices with foldable displays by 2015, a major step forward for a company that recently released its first-ever smartphone with a curved display. The Samsung chief also said that there was “room for improvement” in Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch line while reiterating the company’s commitment to building wearable computers. Both the Gear and the Galaxy Round have been met with unflattering reviews so far so it looks as though Samsung is still trying to get a sense of what works and what doesn’t in the burgeoning market for devices with curved and flexible displays.
