Apple’s iPhone and iPad may still rule the roost when it comes to enterprise mobile gadget adoption but Christy Wyatt, the CEO of mobile enterprise software vendor Good Technology, thinks that Android devices are well on their way to establishing a more significant presence. In an interview with AllThingsD, Wyatt said that “Android is clearly growing quickly” in the workplace, although she added that “it shouldn’t shock anyone that iOS is still out in the lead.”

Much of the recent growth for Android has come from an uptick in enterprise adoption of Android tablets, although Good reports that the iPad still completely dominates the landscape with an enterprise market share of nearly 90%. All the same, this is a decline from early 2012 when Good found that the iPad accounted for a whopping 96% of tablets in the enterprise and Good found that iOS’s overall market share in the workplace has dipped by five percentage points in the past year.
