Good news for everyone who downloaded the iOS 6.1 jailbreak — it seems that Apple (AAPL) hasn’t yet figured out how to patch the holes opened up by the Evad3rs Jailbreak Team just yet. 9to5Mac points us to an update from iOS security researcher pod2g noting that the just-released iOS 6.1.1 beta “does not fix” the iOS 6.1 jailbreak, which will probably be patched “in a future revision.” Pod2g does caution, however, that the iOS 6.1 jailbreak isn’t designed to work on the 6.1.1 beta, so anyone who wants to jailbreak their phone shouldn’t download the newest beta. Even though the Evad3rs had a working untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1 weeks ago, the group didn’t launch it until the final version of iOS 6.1 went public so that Apple wouldn’t have time to fix the jailbreak immediately after its release.
