The old days when budget-conscious T-Mobile users could sign up for a cheap 200MB data plan have come to an end. TmoNews reports that T-Mobile has upped its data plan requirement for new customers to 2GB, meaning new T-Mobile subscribers will have to pay at least $20 per month for their data plans instead of the $10 per month they could have previously paid for 200MB. TmoNews writes that phasing out the 200MB plan makes sense, especially since so few people use that little data a month and because T-Mobile should be doing more to emphasize its unlimited data plans. T-Mobile subscribers who currently have 200MB plans will be allowed to keep them when they sign new contracts.
