An unusual Motorola handset has been spotted in the wild with Verizon Wireless DROID-branding. The device takes the form of a traditional slider with slide-down QWERTY keyboard and looks like a mashup of the BlackBerry Bold and Palm Pre. The phone has Motorola branding and sports the Red Eye DROID animation popularized by the DROID, an unexpected feature which suggests this handset is destined for Big Red. Not much else can be gleaned from these blurry shotswhich leaves us wondering whether this handset is an actual Motorola prototype or a cheap chinese look-alike. Additional photos are after the jump and your thoughts on this unusual spotting are most certainly welcome.
