Alltel customers who prefer music phones to smartphones have another phone to drool over starting Thursday as Alltel has officially added the LG Rhythm to its repertoire. The aptly named music phone incorporates Digital Signal Processing as well as a graphic equalizer professionally tweaked by audiophile extraordinaire Mark Levinson. Whether you prefer a public or a private performance, the Rhythm has you covered with both an internal FM transmitter and a 3.5 mm stereo headset with a microphone that can toggle easily between music and phone calls. That’s not all for you music folks, LG included a mechanical wheel with a center touchscreen and a dedicated music hot key.  Other non-music features of the phone include:

  • 2-inch QVGA display
  • 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom and camcorder
  • Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities
  • microSD supporting up to 16 GB

The LG Rhythm sports a white or black coat of paint and is available both online and in stores for $119.99
after $50 mail-in-rebate and a two-year service agreement.
