Say good riddance bye, bye to the Viewty, and say hello to the LG Renoir. LG, on Thursday, officially announced the launch of its “artistic handset”, the LG Renoir. Chock full of innovative features, the Renoir is the first worldwide phone to include Dolby Mobile, an integrated suite of audio processing technologies that will bring Dolby quality sound to your handset. Fancy yourself to be a mobile photographer? Renoir’s new TouchShot feature allows you to focus on an object by touching it on the screen. When you lift your finger off the screen, the shutter fires automatically. No more image blur while you fumble for the camera/shutter release button, just smooth and easy 8 megpixel picture taking. The Renoir also incorporates both the 120 frame per second slow-motion video of the Viewty and Dare and the the 5 frame per second time lapse video of the LG Secret to create an awesome mobile video recording device. Not impressed? Well, check out the rest of the features this phone packs into it 13.95mm chassis:

  • Quad-band GSM, UMTS (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps)
  • WQVGA 240×400 touchscreen display
  • Homescreen Widgets (including online widgets that pull down real-time data)
  • Picture-Based Speed Dial
  • 8 megapixel camera
  • Xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach lens, auto or manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and digital image stabilization
