The Asus Eee has been a darling of the tech world for the past several months, impressing onlookers with a relatively powerful feature-packed machine built into a tiny, cost effective package. Not content to rest on their current wave of success, Asus has decided to push an updated machine out the door with record speed. The new Asus Eee PC 900 sports a 9″ screen and comes equipped with either 12 GB of onboard storage and Windows XP, or 12-20 GB of storage and a pre-installed Linux build. The new machines will start at $499, and should be available to the general public beginning late next month. Anyone excited enough to take the plunge?
