Who said 42″ was too big? Panasonic Pioneer, one of the world’s largest plasma screen manufacturers, has decided to stop making any Plasma TVs smaller than 42″ beginning in March, 2009. The company will focus instead on making much larger TVs. Sounds good to us, but anyone looking to buy into the Plasma market with a relatively small investment might want to pony up prior to March of next year, lest you find yourself having to pay for a massive screen. Given Panasonic’s Pioneer’s prominent status, we have to wonder if similar announcements from the other major companies will be forthcoming

UPDATE: Sorry folks, but as you can probably tell, it’s Pioneer, not Panasonic, that’s getting out of the game here. Sorry for any confusion.
