If the current rumor mill is to be believed, we might be seeing a couple of new MacBook Pro models pretty soon. The buzzing words are that that Apple’s flagship laptop models are next in line for an overhaul. The planned changes are rumored to include new multi-touch trackpads borrowed, of course, from the new MacBook Air, and an upgrade to Intel Penryn-based processors. The new trackpads will be oversized to accommodate the gesture-based control system, and a Penryn chip should allow for a power boost to 2.5 GHz / 2.6 GHz depending on the model. Not too, right? No word on when we can expect these updates, but chances are good that we won’t see much until a bit after the new MacBook Air’s actually start shipping.
