Sarcasm aside, this could actually be pretty neat if it ever comes to fruition. Blockbuster, one of the last of a dying breed of physical movie rental shops, is interested in bringing its goods to a mobile phone near you. The company is currently in talks with several handset manufacturers to design a Blockbuster Mobile phone. The company’s CEO claims that they’re speaking with “virtually all of the major manufacturers to provide greater mobility and convenience.” Aren’t we all. The talks come as a result of Blockbuster CEO James Keyes’ fascination with watching flicks on his BlackBerry.  No word on when or where we might expect to see this, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
