As if our word wasn’t good enough, it looks like evidence is mounting in favor of a certain American carrier getting hold of an HTC slider phone sometime in the near future. The FCC has just approved a somewhat mysterious device labeled as the HTC Phoebus. On second glance, however, it’s clear that this is, in fact, the HTC Juno / Dopod C750. As we all know, FCC approval is one of myriad steps a device manufacturer has to take in order to bring a handset into consumer’s hands, but it’s a necessary one nonetheless. This is good news for the HTC faithful, and could bode well for T-Mobile customers seeking a leg up over their AT&T-loving peers.
