Here’s one for those of you that thought Vvnyl was a thing of the past. This new turntable proves that, well, people will buy just about anything. The new record spinner comes from high-end audio company Basis Audio, and sports a dizzying array of shiny chrome, clear plastic, and some sort of ice blue substance lining the bottom. It also, uh, plays records, featuring an anti-vibration technology that supposedly cuts down on skips and skating. Sounds alright so far, but what until you hear the price tag: $150,000 buys you the pleasure of eternal scorn and the mark of obscene stupidity. Then again, if you have $150,000 to toss around on a contraption like this, who are we to judge?
