This moment was bound to come, but we’re still in a bit of shock. HTC has announced that the HTC Advantage (X7501) is now available through CompUSA online retail channels, physical stores, as well as through Amazon.com. Retailing for a cool $899, this Pocket PC/UMPC/Everything device has finally hit American shores after widespread European availability. It’s worth noting, however, that it’s right on schedule with HTC’s announced launch frame. Nice job, guys! The device’s specs are as expected, with the Advantage sporting tri-band HSDPA/UMTS radios, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. The physical specs include a 5-inch VGA touch display, 8 GB hard drive, 256 MB of ROM, 128 MB of RAM, miniSD slot, 3 megapixel camera, HTC’s patented VueFLO, and a full sized 3.5mmm headphone jack. If you can handle the size, this thing is, without a doubt, the dopest Windows Mobile device on the market. All this craziness is running atop Windows Mobile 6 and a 624 MHz processor. Hit the link for more details, but be warned…you might find a $899 charge on your credit card before too long. Check out the full press release after the jump!
