Casting a blue-and-yellow eye on the fine folks at Best Buy, new stories are beginning to surface about Best Buy Geek Squad employees and their alleged snooping habits. Says one former Geek Squad member: “Any attractive young woman who drops off her computer with the Geek Squad should assume that her photos will be looked at.” The allegations don’t stop there, as a few former employees have admitted to copying hundreds of gigs of music and movie files, all without the owners knowledge or consent. And the issues include house calls, too. In May, Hao Kuo Chi pleaded no contest to one count of invasion of privacy after a woman charged that he secretly used his camera phone to make a video of her taking a shower while there to help her with her computer. Best Buy has a mess to clean up on Aisle 5.
