Google is really focusing on mobile content these days. First came news of a new mobile ad publishing service, and now this…The company is currently working on a mobile-specific search engine. Google search is currently accessible from any mobile phone, but the provided results are identical to the results you would get from a desktop query. The new service will provide results tailored to mobile browsers. It will also focus on providing easy short-click access to sites that allow quick purchases and shopping via Google Checkout. No more slogging through unoptimized content for our mobile browsing pleasure sounds like a tasty proposition indeed. No word on projected launch date, though.
