Sci-Fi movie fans looking for new releases this year should have plenty of reasons to be excited, considering the many new trailers teasing all the upcoming attractions. Some of them will be launching in late 2015, like the seventh Star Wars title, while some are going to hit theaters much sooner, including Tomorrowland, a new Disney creation starring George Clooney, Judy Greer, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie.
Didn’t get your fill of trailers for upcoming blockbuster movies last week?
On Monday, Universal Pictures released a new trailer for Jurassic World, packed with so much new footage that I’m not sure what surprises the film could possibly still have in store by the time it hits theaters in June. More →
Believe it or not, the release of the second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was not the finale of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim last week. In fact, that was just the highlight of the first day. In the succeeding days, there were more announcements, more interviews and more trailers, including an early teaser for Rogue One, the first film of the Star Wars Anthology Series. More →
Nowadays we like to see our super hero movies to be gritty and dark… but it wasn’t always like that. We love the Internet for many reasons but chief among them is how it gives so many talented people a creative platform that they otherwise never would have had. What do you do if all of a sudden you find yourself having to compete against the brand-new Star Wars VII trailer with a trailer of your own? Well, you first announce it’s going to debut on IMAX, and then you somehow have it leaked online somehow. At least that’s what appears to have happened with the new Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, which should be officially released on Monday, but which is already available online to anyone excited about this particular superhero blockbuster. More →
If your weekend played out anything like mine, then you’re likely still reeling from the first season of Daredevil, which debuted on Netflix last Friday. It’s one of Marvel’s darkest projects to ever appear on screen, packed with gritty, realistic violence and morally ambiguous characters, which is why the release of the first full-length trailer for Ant-Man couldn’t have come at a better time.
