Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 now $4.99 in honor of Masters

If you’re throwing your chips at the TV wondering why Tiger can’t break into the top five during this year’s Master’s Tournament, then pick up a set of clubs and hit the links yourself. EA has dropped the price of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 to $4.99 — from it’s original $6.99 price – in honor of the Masters Tournament. We wrote up the game’s launch on March 29th and have really been enjoying the gameplay. The graphics have improved vastly from the original and we like the multiplayer option for competing against friends. We’re not sure how long the price drop will remain in effect, though, so jump over to your local iTunes App Store and download a copy. Shoot’em straight. More →

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 for iOS now available

Look, we know what it feels like to be the only one left in the office while the senior partners all go out for a not-so-quick 18. But that’s OK, because today EA launched Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 for the iPhone and iPod touch ($6.99) and iPad ($9.99). The updated game allows you to hit the links on championship courses, including TPC Sawgrass, Pebble Beach, and St. Andrews, all from the comfort of your cubicle. We fired up the game today and loved the multiplayer option, which allows you to challenge friends over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth — you can also find friends ready to hit the links by signing into Facebook. The graphics look like they have been totally overhauled from the original, iPhone Tiger Woods game, but the controls remain just as easy — you pull your finger down to swing back, throw it forward to swing through, and add spin to the ball by swiping like a madman. We’re definitely impressed with the game so far and think it’s a worthy update to the original. All those years of sleep-away golf camp are finally paying off. Hit the jump for the iTunes link. Throwback Thursday: Tiger’s Talkboy

Throwback Thursday: Tiger’s Talkboy

For this week’s Throwback Thursday we’re going to rewind time all the way back to 1993 (did you see what we did just there… try and keep up). Let’s take a trip down memory lane to try and get you into the proper frame of mind. In 1993: Bill Clinton was inaugurated as the 42nd President of the United States, the band Ace of Base had a hot new single called The Sign, and Macaulay Culkin was regarded as an up-and-coming young actor… and still sane. In fact, you have a young Mr. Culkin and 20th Century Fox’s Home Alone franchise to thank for this product’s existence. Hit the jump to read more about… the Tiger Talkboy. More →
