We’re back with another episode of The BGR Show, and this week we’re taking a look at Samsung’s Galaxy S III in addition to giving you a walkthrough of Apple’s new iOS 6 operating system. Samsung’s Galaxy S III is an Android powerhouse, packed with a quad-core processor, a 4.8-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and more. Samsung sent us the global version of the Galaxy S III since the phone hasn’t launched in the U.S. yet, and there are definitely a few differences. The U.S. version will feature 4G LTE, though it trades a faster cellular connection for a slightly less powerful dual-core processor in place of the quad-core chipset. Apple’s iOS 6 operating system is set to be released in the fall, but we have an early look at a developer version of the software in this week’s episode as well. It adds tons of functionality and features that were missing from iOS in the past, and we go through almost all of them step by step.
This is the first episode of The BGR Show, and we’re trying to do something different. We’re trying to change the game. Honestly, tech shows suck. They’re typically way too geeky and often boring. The BGR Show is about focusing on aspects of technology that appeal to a wider range of people. You, your friends, your family members, everyone. Yes, it’s about products too — we have an amazing in-depth look at the Samsung Galaxy S III that will run next week — but it’s also about these big, meaningful segments with access and insights that other shows usually can’t deliver. But! It is the first episode, and we’d love to hear what you think, plus we’ll have our set for the next episode. Special thanks to Pharrell and the entire i am OTHER team for their support of the project. The full episode is after the break, and make sure you subscribe to the channel. More →
The first episode of The BGR Show doesn’t premiere until May 31st, but we wanted to put together a little something to tease the show with Pharrell Williams — and it’s hilarious. We have some amazing segments lined up, and we would tell you about them but we don’t want to spoil it. The show will air weekly around 11:00 a.m. Eastern every Thursday on i am OTHER‘s channel beginning on May 31st. Make sure you subscribe to stay updated with our show schedule; you can find the show every week at the read link below, and of course, on BGR.com (and more places coming soon!). More →
Over the past six years, BGR has grown into one of the most prominent destinations in the world for mobile and tech news. We have broken some of the biggest stories in tech and offered up some of the most honest opinions. But we’ve never done video. Today, we’re announcing The BGR Show, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with a long-time friend of mine, Pharrell Williams, to bring the show to his new YouTube channel, i am OTHER. More →
