Samsung Infuse 4G review

The Samsung Infuse 4G, with a radio capable of achieving peak rates of 21Mbps, is being marketed as the fastest smartphone currently available from AT&T. It’s the big brother to the Samsung Captivate, and fits just between that device and Samsung’s Galaxy S II when it comes to hardware specs. The Infuse 4G packs a gorgeous and massive 4.5-inch display, a thin and light form factor, and a solid camera. AT&T’s first HSPA+ “4G” phones fell flat when it came to data — neither the HTC Inspire 4G nor the Motorola ATRIX 4G could hold a candle to the 3G download speeds available on the iPhone 4, and we won’t even discuss the upload speeds. Is the Infuse the AT&T 4G smartphone you’ve been waiting for? Windows Phone 7 unlock tool released

If you have a Windows Phone 7 device and are itching to get some OS tinkering in, listen up. Blog ChevronWP7 has released their first Windows Phone 7 unlocking tool for users running Windows XP SP2 or higher. The unlock will allows for “the sideloading of experimental applications that would otherwise can’t be published to the Marketplace, such as those which access private or native APIs.” The tool itself is a dead-simple executable file that requires three to four clicks to delivery its payload. HTC removes side-loading sync app for HTC Aria

The jubilation that ensued when HTC’s sync app for the Aria debuted was apparently premature as the app has been pulled from HTC’s website. The sync utility allowed customers to install non-Android market applications and was thought to be a sign that AT&T was relaxing some of the restrictions it imposes on its Android handsets. Apparently, those assumptions were incorrect- the sync application was a mistake and AT&T is still maintaining tight control over the Aria and its other Android handsets. The fun is over and its back to reality everyone.
