AT&T activates 4G LTE in 11 new markets including New York and San Francisco
AT&T on Thursday announced that it has activated its 4G LTE network in 11 new markets. The new markets include: the New York City metro area, Austin, Chapel Hill, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose. AT&T’s LTE network has also been active for some time in Athens, Atlanta, Baltimore,Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C. The carrier’s 4G LTE network is now live in 26 markets in the United States and said it is still on track to complete its 4G LTE rollout by the end of next year.
