It also contains some interesting gems, including a design sketch for the phone and what appears to be the backplate of the handset. The same OnePlus forum thread is also home to several other purported One images, including design sketches for the One’s box, alleged motherboard photos and even a user interface leak. Even though OnePlus revealed some of the One’s hardware details – it’s one of the most exciting Android handsets so far – it revealed precious little about what CyanogenMod 11S, the official operating system of the handset, will have to offer. The company did reveal that Cyanogen Inc will support the OS for two years, that it will offer voice-based controls and that users will be able to install any software on the device other than CyanogenMod without breaking the warranty, if they so desire. The company has also confirmed that the One will get some special CyanogenMod software features, without revealing any of them. After quietly upgrading one of the main hardware components of its first Android handset ever, OnePlus as quietly posted on its forums an official announcement date for the One handset. The device, which has not been shown to the world yet, will be showcased on April 23rd during a special media event taking place at the Wukesong Mastercard Stadium from 2 p.m. local time. After explaining its decision to choose a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor instead of a newer model for its One smartphone, OnePlus has quietly announced via Facebook that its handset will actually ship with a better processor. The company has updated the cover photo on its social accounts including Facebook and Google+ with a new image that lists the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor among the revealed specs of the phone.
