New AT&T rebate sheets in; Moto QA1, Samsung Jack, Sony Ericsson C905a and more

Following this morning’s rebate sheet from Verizon, one of our AT&T ninjas apparently got fired up and snapped a couple of shots of the carrier’s upcoming rebates for May 11th through June 21st. Unfortunately, no real bomb dropping on AT&T’s sheet either but there are a few items of interest. As is always the case, this doesn’t mean all of the handsets listed will be out during the rebate period but it does mean they’ll be dropping soon enough. Above, highlights include the sliding QWERTY-rocking Motorola QA1 Karma and Sony Ericsson’s 8.1 megapixel beast, the C905a. The second shot, pictured after the break, includes the Samsung i637 Jack and of course everyone’s favorite EDGE-only messaging machine, the BlackBerry Curve 8900. Hit the jump for the second image and let us know if there’s anything in particular on the new rebate sheet that catches your eye.

AT&T and CWA reach tentative agreement

It took exactly a month from the day we first scooped the possibility of an AT&T Mobility contractual issues that could have lead to a strike, but it looks like we have some good news to report. Crisis averted — or so it would appear. The CWA site has been posting bargaining reports regularly and yesterday evening the union issued a final report covering a tentative agreement between AT&T Mobility and the CWA union. Woo! As long as nothing crazy happens, it looks like it’s a done deal and workers can go back to doing their jobs without a potential strike looming overhead. Hit the jump for the full report and if you’re an AT&T employee, let us know how you feel about the tentative agreement in the comments section.

Thanks, Ryan and everyone else who sent this in!

AT&T Strike Update: CWA walks away from the table?

We just got a heads up that even though both parties agreed to an extension, the CWA just walked away from the bargaining table. Here’s a copy of an email sent out to AT&T employees, and also AT&T’s final offer to the CWA:

Union authorizes AT&T Mobility strike; could begin today

Union authorizes AT&T Mobility strike; could begin today

As unfortunate as it might be, it looks like our scoop this past Tuesday was indeed spot-on and AT&T Mobility reps could be preparing to strike as early as today. While often necessary, strikes are never a good thing and in almost all instances everyone involved hopes a strike can be avoided. Sometimes a good old fashioned picket sign-wielding march around HQ is inevitable however, and it’s looking more and more like that is the case for AT&T Mobility reps fighting for what they believe to more fair compensation, employment and working conditions.

Thanks for the image, Papi!

AT&T Mobility Sales Reps going on strike?

AT&T Mobility Sales Reps going on strike?

This is unconfirmed as a whole at the moment, but we got a couple tips that AT&T sales employees were about to go on strike as “corporate is unwilling to budge on benefits and compensation.” We asked one of our ninjas about this and they said that it is definitely “possible” and there was a contingency in place. We’ll keep digging, but if you suddenly realize your Bold exploded in your hands and you need a new one, you’ll know why your local AT&T store is surrounded by picketers and protesters.

UPDATE: Yeah, this is for realz. Here’s an excerpt from the Communications Workers of America’s website: “Picket signs are being sent out to every CWA Local with Mobility members as the February 7th expiration date approaches. With little progress at the bargaining table, every Local must be ready to walk, if necessary, to get some RESPECT from AT&T Mobility.”
