We’re not quite ready to concede that Apple will actually be unveiling an all-white iPhone next week at WWDC, but the evidence is pretty damning. PowerBook Medic took some snaps (more after the jump) of what appears to be the casing for a white next-gen iPhone, something it claims it got from one of its parts suppliers. It could easily be a fake, but for the sake of argument let’s assume it’s real. Are you digging it or not?
If you we’re praying that all of the iPhone 4/4G/HD leak madness would stop — considering its official unveiling is under a week away — it looks like you just didn’t pray hard enough, as iPhone Portugal has joined in the rumor madness with what looks to be a set of chassis meant for the upcoming phone. It’s not 100% clear if these parts are real or simply ripped from knockoff device, in light of the fact they were purchased in China for an undisclosed sum, but apparently the fit and finish is so nice that iPhone Portugal is all but certain they’re genuine. Based upon what we’re seeing, and the sophisticated level of engineering, we’re fairly confident their assumption is spot on. Hit the jump for a couple of videos.
Considering the country that these photos were snapped in, we can’t help but hear the words “fake” in the back of our minds, but Apple.pro is claiming what we’re looking at is proof positive that the next-gen iPhone will be available in an all white body. If you look closely at the pics you’ll notice a curiously big gap between the fascia and the aluminum mid-section, but in fairness, that alone is not enough to rule this as fake. Same goes for the holes for screws seen next to the 30-pin dock connector, something we know to be a hallmark of early prototypes. We’ve got one more pic after the jump, but man, wouldn’t it be nice to have such a fresh looking device?
Like we need any more proof, right? Even so, the more confirmation the better we say, and one of our Apple guys has sent us in some shots of the field test firmware for the new iPhone HD (or whatever it is), and we’ve got them right here for you. They are pretty self explanatory, and there is one more after the break! More →
Remember how much fun we used to have with all of the iPhone rumors in the months leading up to WWDC? Well as you know, this year is special. Proving this point once and for all again, today we present you with images and videos of yet another iPhone prototype strutting its stuff in Vietnam. There’s really nothing more for us to say since this is all about eye candy, so hit up the jump for a slew of pics and videos!
While some are exploring the outward functionality of the latest beta of iPhone OS 4, others are slowly picking apart the underlying architecture and mining clues about the potential hardware and functionality of the upcoming iPhone. The most recent discovery teases us with 720p HD recording which is revealed in the following two video presets:
The secondary value is the familiar resolution for 720p HD and is a feature that would fit in nicely with the rumored iPhone HD name. Anyone excited by the potential of HD recording and a new naming convention for the upcoming iPhone? More →
