The infamous Dev Team has just released the first publicly available untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.2. Redsn0w version 0.9.6rc14 will jailbreak the iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA), iPhone 3GS and iPad, as well as third and fourth-generation iPod touch models. Unfortunately, the iPad 2 still isn’t supported but the Dev Team maintains that it is working on Apple’s latest tablet and we don’t imagine it will take everyone’s favorite iOS hackers much longer. In line with BGR’s exclusive report earlier this week, Apple on Thursday released iOS version 4.3.2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The only changes noted by Apple are bug fixes and security updates. Apple does specifically note that the update fixes a crash related to FaceTime, as we reported, and it also fixes some iPad 3G + Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Also of note, iOS 4.2.7 — also a minor update with bug fixes and security updates — is now available for Verizon Wireless’ iPhone 4. Both updates are available immediately via iTunes.
One of our Apple sources has just let us know that Apple’s iOS 4.3.2, due within the next week or so, will fix the issues we’ve been hearing about with some Verizon iPad 2 models. Additionally, the new update is said to contain a fix for FaceTime in addition to security fixes for things like WebKit vulnerabilities and other minor changes. We’ve loaded up iOS 4.3.2 on our iPhone, and we’ll let you know if we notice any other changes.
We’ve just been told by one of our Apple ninjas that the company is working on another iOS 4.3.x release: iOS 4.3.2. It’s said to include a few enhancements, address security issues, and it will also fix several bugs that have affected users. We’re told to expect the software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in about two weeks.
