Potato Salad took Kickstarter by storm a few days ago when the project to create a salad went viral, convincing many people to donate a lot more money for this particular Kickstarter listing than it actually needed. However, there are more interesting and useful projects out there, such as the pd.id stick that’s currently looking to raise $100,000 by August 29 on Indiegogo. What the pd.id can do is to quickly test a beverage for traces of drugs that are sometimes used to coerce some people into doing things they otherwise wouldn’t – in other words, pd.id is a date rape drug test capable of quickly recognizing many types of drugs. This smartwatch moonlights as a Bluetooth headset

The HeadWatch is a brand new smartwatch concept that’s currently raising money on Indiegogo in hope of becoming a commercial product. In addition to offering the expected smartwatch features, the device also doubles as a Bluetooth headset that could be used together with a smartphone that’s paired with the device. Dog-to-English translator becomes a reality thanks to crowdfunding campaign

An Indiegogo project that aims to deliver the first gadget capable of translating a dog’s thoughts into the English language has reached its funding goal with 50 days left to go in the money-raising campaign, Fox News reports. The “No More Woof” (NMW) project developed by Scandinavian Nordic Society for Invention and Discovery (NSID) organization has surpassed its $10,000 funding goal by almost $5,000, and aims to deliver the first devices that will translate dogs’ thoughts into English and other languages at some point in April.
