HTC EVO 3D, EVO View 4G confirmed by CTIA snoops

If you’re an exhibitor at CTIA looking to keep a secret, you have to be on guard at all times. Blog Pocketnow has acquired images of Sprint collateral that provides hard specs for the yet-to-be-announced HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G. Just as we exclusively reported several days ago, the image tells us that the device will indeed be a 1.2GHz dual-core beast, complete with a 4.3-inch screen with 960 x 540 pixel resolution. The handset also boasts dual 5 megapixel cameras capable of capturing 3D video in 720p, and regular old 2D video in a full 1080p. The EVO 3D also appears to have a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, weigh in at 6 ounces, and will have its Android operating system smothered in HTC’s Sense UI. The EVO View 4G will have the same 1.5GHz single-core processor as the Flyer, a display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and will weigh around 15 ounces. We’ll be live blogging Sprint’s keynote event, which starts tomorrow around 1:00 p.m. ET, where we presume these two HTC sets will become official. More →

We have just been informed of most of Sprint’s planned announcements at CTIA this year. There have been mumblings surrounding the two headline devices, but we finally have the information to share with you. To start things off, the HTC EVO 3D most certainly will be part of the announcement, and it’s going to be a pretty feature-packed handset. We’re talking about a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 450-pixel Autostereoscopic 3D display, 4GB of RAM, 1GB ROM, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm 8660 Snapdragon CPU, dual rear 5-megapixel cameras with dedicated camera button, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1730mAh battery. That’s not all, though. The HTC EVO 3D will run Android Gingerbread 2.3 with HTC Sense UI and it will also output 1080p video via HDMI and output 720p 3D content as well. There will also be a Blockbuster 3D on demand app as well as YouTube 3D. Check out the rest of our exclusive report after the break! More →
