iPhone 5 will have larger display and wider home button, leaked screen protector suggests

What will the iPhone 5 look like? We’ve read plenty of reports that the iPhone 5 will offer a larger display and a thinner design, and we have seen leaked silicone cases that seem to back those reports up. The latest leak also reinforces earlier suggestions that the iPhone 5 will also have a larger home button. Ukwire.hk released images of a new screen protector that shows a wider home button below the iPhone 5 display. In a second image, included after the break, an iPhone 4 is placed face-down on top of the screen protector to illustrate the potential size difference between the two devices. Images of second unnamed HTC smartphone emerge

Following earlier reports revealing an unannounced buttonless HTC smartphone due to be launched by Verizon Wireless, images of a second unnamed Android phone have been published. This new smartphone appears to be more in tune with HTC’s current higher-end models, suggesting that it may launch as a flagship device. The device was spied on a commuter train in Taipei and details are extremely scarce. The smartphone runs Android, as evidenced by the four touch-sensitive buttons beneath the display and the visible on-screen menu bar, and it appears to have a front-facing camera for video chat. Beyond that, the phone is a mystery. Hit the jump for two more images of the unnamed handset. More →

What do you get when you mash an iPhone 3GS and an HTC DROID Incredible together? Apparently, you get a peculiar new Android smartphone headed to Verizon Wireless — provided you rip out the iPhone’s home button and smooth over the wound, that is. Prior rumors of buttonless HTC devices gained some credibility on Thursday as photos of an unreleased HTC device were published on a Chinese forum. Verizon branding and a sizable touchscreen are visible on the device, as is a contoured rear case and a dual-LED flash beside the rear-facing camera. Additional details are scarce for the time being, though the handset will supposedly run Android 2.2 Froyo at launch. Hit the break for an image of the back and thanks to everyone who sent this in.
