Bell Mobility to exclusively launch LG Optimus Chic January 14th

A memo obtained by BGR indicates that Canada’s Bell Mobility will be exclusively launching the LG Optimus Chic on January 14th; the Chic is being billed as Bell’s “first entry-level Android smartphone.” The device will sport a 3.2-inch full-touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, DLNA support, micro-SD card slot (2GB card included), and Android 2.2. The device will “operate on the high-speed HSPA+ network”, be exclusive to Bell in Canada, and retail — subsidy free — for $249.95. Not a bad little set for the money. What do you think Canadian friends, any takers?

Thanks, B!

Today, LG finally shed some light on their two upcoming Android handsets, the Optimus One (left) and Optimus Chic (right). Both devices are full-touchscreen devices that feature a 3.2-inch 600 MHz processor, Wi-Fi b/g, a-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, dual-band WCDMA radio (900/2100 MHz), quad-band GSM, and will run Android 2.2. The One has a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with LED-flash and 1500 mAh battery, while the Chic sports a 5 megapixel shooter and 1250 mAh battery. Both sets should be available in Europe in the November timeframe; no pricing details were given. The devices look a little too similar to us.
