Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android tablet hits Best Buy for $450

The Acer Iconia Tab A500, an Android 3.0 (Honeycomb tablet) with a 10.1-inch display, is now available from Best Buy for $450. The Iconia Tab A500 — not to be confused with the Iconia Tab A501 headed to AT&T — is powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, offers 16GB of onboard storage, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and up to 8 hours of battery life. It also comes with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage. Wi-Fi HTC Flyer to be retail exclusive at Best Buy

Best Buy announced Tuesday that it will exclusively offer the Wi-Fi version of the HTC Flyer tablet beginning this spring. The HTC Flyer, which is also launching on Sprint as the HTC EVO View, sports a 7-inch, 1024 x 768 pixel display; has 16GB of storage; a 5 megapixel camera; a 1.5GHz processor; a 4,000mAh battery a 1.3 megapixel forward-facing camera for video chat; and Android 2.2 (Froyo). The Flyer runs HTC’s new Sense user interface, which offers a host of UI improvements and supports the HTC Scribe — the company’s innovative stylus. Best Buy did not provide pricing details or a specific launch date for the Flyer, but said that it will be available in Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, as well as online. Sprint Nexus S 4G pre-orders start at Best Buy today

Best Buy announced on Monday that it will begin accepting pre-orders for Sprint’s Nexus S 4G immediately. Best Buy will sell the device in its Best Buy Mobile stores and online. While pricing hasn’t yet been announced, one store confirmed to BGR that customers can pre-order Nexus S 4G with a $50 deposit, which will be applied to the final purchase price. The Nexus S 4G is nearly identical to the original Nexus S on T-Mobile, but it’s a bit thicker and heavier due to the new radios for CDMA and 4G WiMAX. Hit the jump for the full release. More →
