We Need This Stunning iPhone 7 Concept to Become a Reality. Now.

Apple’s iPhone 7 is expected to be released next year after the typical “S” refresh hits store shelves this coming fall. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are expected to be fairly significant upgrades from last year’s 6 models, and analysts are already modeling for huge sales. But while the world’s top Apple insider says 2015’s iPhone 6s models will indeed feature a few big design changes, we’re almost certainly looking at phones that are very similar to Apple’s current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models.

The iPhone 7 is already leading to intense competition in the industry

We aren’t anywhere close to the launch of the iPhone 6s, however that still hasn’t stopped rumors from flooding in about 2016’s iPhone 7. The Electronic Daily News says that TSMC, which is making A8 and A9 chips for certain iOS devices, is going to open a 10nm pilot line next month. The project could be further expanded and could end up making A10 chips for Apple’s 2016 iPhone 7 model next year.

iPhone 7 edge: What if Apple copied Samsung’s Galaxy S6 edge?

Even if a curved display is not really a must-have smartphone feature, the Galaxy S6 edge has turned quite a few heads since being released in March, thanks largely to its unusual design that blends several iPhone 6 elements with a screen that’s beautifully curved on both sides.

But what if Apple made edge-like iPhones? Apparently that’s the question one designer tried to answer with help of a few interesting iPhone 7 renders. More →

Most accurate Apple analyst explains why there won’t be a new 4-inch iPhone this year

Despite rumors that Apple has plans to release a 4-inch iPhone 7 later this year, Ming-Chi Kuo, largely regarded as the most accurate Apple analyst on the planet, recently issued a research note explaining why such rumors may ultimately fall flat.

In a research note obtained by AppleInsider, Kuo relays that with the iPhone 5s currently poised to become Apple’s “free with subscription” model, the Cupertino-based company has opted not to engineer an entirely new 4-inch iPhone 7 or 7c model, as had previously been rumored.

There might be a 4-inch iPhone 7 in your future after all

Apple is reportedly making two or three new iPhones this year, depending on what the latest rumor says. Some sources claim Apple has a new 4-inch iPhone 6c model in the works, in addition to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus for this year. The smaller model rumored to offer Apple’s latest technologies – including Touch ID support, A8 chip or later, NFC and Apple Pay support – to those buyers looking for a smaller iPhone. On the other hand, one analyst who has usually been accurate about Apple’s unannounced products claimed recently that only new 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones will be released this year.

So now, of course, it’s time for rumors of a 4-inch iPhone to resurface.
