The iPhone 6s might be an even bigger nightmare for Android than we thought

iPhone sales usually drop in the months leading up to a major iPhone launch, since more informed buyers interested in purchasing an Apple smartphone would rather wait for the new models to launch than buy last year’s device. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case for the iPhone 6 and other iPhones still being sold by Apple, which continued to sell rather well in the quarter preceding the iPhone 6s’ arrival.  More →

Nexus 5X: Official specs and features

Google finally unveiled the Nexus 5X, the worthy successor of the 2013 Nexus 5, a device that received plenty of attention from Android fans interested a pure version of Android. Considering that LG made the previous 5-inch Nexus phone, rumors earlier this year suggesting the same South Korean company would make the Nexus 5X weren’t surprising. And Google on Tuesday finally confirmed it partnered with LG again for a new Nexus smartphone.

The Nexus 5X was hardly a well-kept secret before the show, with numerous reports offering many details about the handset, including images and official documentation detailing the phone’s specs and features. And Google pretty much confirmed all of the leaks during the event. More →

Who doesn’t love an all-terrain vehicle? U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) is no exception.

Last week Medina, Minn.-based Polaris Defense announced that it is supplying the U.S. military with more all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

The company has been supplying its MRZR ATVs to SOCOM for three years – and now special forces are getting their hands on even more.

16GB iPhone 6s ‘confirmed’ as this year’s cheapest new iPhone, says accurate Apple insider

After plenty of back and forth on Apple’s storage plans for the iPhone 6s, more and more reports have indicated that the Cupertino-based giant is not going to grant your wish this year – make 32GB the entry-level storage tier for a new iPhone – and stick with 16GB versions for at least one more product cycle.

Two rumors have recently suggested that Apple will sell both iPhone 6s models in the same three storage options as last year’s iPhone 6, each having the same price as their respective predecessors – according to carrier sources from the Netherlands and China. A third report from an accurate Apple Insider seems to confirm storage and pricing details for the USA. More →

Last week, Samsung took the stage in New York to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ phablets, once again boosting its lineup of flagship devices. As we stated in our hands-on previews for both devices, Samsung has once again built two incredibly functional and stylish phones, but we’re not sure if that’ll be enough to bring consumers out in droves.

Samsung is just as concerned about the sales of its mobile devices as we are, so in order to try and sway potential upgraders, the company has released a series of hands-on videos featuring both of the new phones. More →
