We’re now less than one week away from Amazon’s massive annual summertime shopping event, Prime Day 2017. As has been the case for the past two years, this huge sale offers more bargains than Black Friday, and only Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to access them. In other words, if you’re not already a Prime subscriber, sign up for your free Amazon Prime trial right now so you can get in on all the action.

Well, actually, if you want to get in on all the action then you’ll need more than just a Prime subscription. You’ll also need an Alexa speaker from Amazon, because there are a bunch of killer deals that are only available to voice shoppers this year. In this post, we’ll tell you everything you need to know.

First and foremost, get yourself an Alexa speaker from Amazon today, while they’re on sale at deep discounts. Amazon’s special voice shopping deals WILL NOT be available through Alexa apps on smartphones or tablets, and they also won’t be available through third-party Alexa devices like the Fabriq speaker or Ecobee4 smart thermostat. You’ll need an Amazon speaker, and it just so happens that there’s a one-day sale that’s perfect for anyone who hasn’t already hopped on the Alexa bandwagon.

Today only, you can get a refurbished Echo Dot for just $29.99, which is the speaker’s lowest price ever. Also of note, refurbished Amazon Echo speakers are on sale for $134.99. There’s no reason to avoid Amazon’s certified refurbished speakers, of course, but you can also see all of the retailer’s new Alexa speakers on this page.

Now that you’re equipped to take advantage of Amazon’s special voice shopping deals, you’re ready to learn about the crazy deals the company will offer beginning today.

First, you can save a cool $20 on an annual Amazon Prime subscription by saying “Alexa, sign me up for Prime.” That drops the price to $79 instead of $99. If you’ve never used voice shopping before, you can also get a $10 credit on your Amazon account by taking advantage of any current voice shopping deal by the end of the day on July 9. To find out what voice shopping deals are available right now, head to this page.

Moving back to Prime Day voice shopping, Amazon has more than 100 exclusive deals in store beginning today and running all the way until the end of the day on July 17. Here are some examples from Amazon’s press release:

  • Save $50 on Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speaker III – say, “Alexa, order Bose Soundlink three.”
  • Save $20 on Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus 2nd Generation – works with Alexa – say, “Alexa, order Philips Lightstrip Plus.”
  • Save $7 on Wemo Mini smart plug – say, “Alexa, order Wemo Mini Smart Plug.”
  • Save $6 on Greenies dog treats, original flavor, 27 oz. – say, “Alexa, order Greenies dog treats.”
  • Save 50% on Wickedly Prime Sweet n’ Cheesy Popcorn Mix – say, “Alexa, order Sweet and Cheesy Popcorn.”
  • Save 35% on Haribo Gummi Bear 12-pack – say, “Alexa, order Haribo Gummi Bears.”
  • Save 30% on Squatty Potty – say, “Alexa, order Squatty Potty.”

You can see all the new deals each day by visiting this page on Amazon’s website, or you can simply say “Alexa, what are your deals?”

One last thing to note is that voice shoppers will also get access to Amazon’s actual Prime Day deals two hours before anyone else. That means that on Monday, July 10, you’ll be able to start shopping Prime Day deals at 7:00 PM ET instead of 9:00 PM ET like everyone else.
