Best Buy has a great deal for anyone shopping for new MacBooks from Apple, as long as you don’t want to purchase any of Apple’s new MacBook Pro models. In fact, those MacBook fans out there who are due for an upgrade but don’t want to deal with dongle hell might actually appreciate Best Buy’s new offer.

Starting Thursday and running all the way through Saturday, Best Buy customers who buy a select MacBook Pro or MacBook Air with a 3-year AppleCare plan will save $300 on their purchase.

The AppleCare purchase alone costs $249.99, which means you’re better off getting the extra protection with the new Mac and still getting $50 in savings.

The deal is only valid in brick-and-mortar stores, or if you order online and select in-store pickup. The deal may not be valid in combination with other offers that might be available at Best Buy. For the MacBook Air, that means you have to choose between the AppleCare savings or a different promotion that gets you $200 off.

Best Buy’s new sale only covers some 2015 MacBook models, including 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro versions. If you’re looking for discounted 15-inch MacBook Pro (early 2015) then you have to go for a different deal, one that gets you $250 off the final price, but doesn’t include AppleCare.

If you’re shopping for a new iPad Air 2 (Wi-Fi-only) with AppleCare, then you can save $150 when you get a 2-year extended warranty plan that’s worth $99.99 by itself. The offer also ends on Saturday.
