A few months ago, Tesla rolled out the Model S P100D, a car that can go from 0-60 MPH in just 2.5 seconds flat with Ludicrous mode enabled. At the time of its unveiling, Elon Musk boasted that it was the fastest production car on the planet.

Funny enough, that impressive 2.5 time is already old news.

Always looking to raise the bar, Tesla recently enabled, via an over the air software update, an Easter Egg that allows P100D owners to go from 0-60 in just 2.4 seconds. And just when you thought that Tesla might finally be content with a 0-60 time capable of making even supercars jealous, Musk earlier today hinted that it might be feasible for the Model S P100D to hit a 0-60 time of 2.34 seconds.

While pushing a Tesla to the limit with absolutely jaw-dropping 0-60 times isn’t exactly great for the car’s motor, tires or battery, drivers with an unquenchable thirst for speed will be hard pressed to find a vehicle with more bang for the buck than what Tesla provides with the P100D.

Video of Tesla’s souped up Model S P100D in action can be seen below.
