It’s finally Star Wars week, which means you’re probably going to see Rogue One this weekend. The first reviews are already in for the movie, and we’re looking at another Disney hit here. But with Rogue One now in theaters it means it’s time to start waiting for other hot movies to hit cinemas. Here’s this week’s trailers collection!

Alone in Berlin

Dunkirk

may be one of the hottest World War 2 movies to watch next year, but you should also keep an eye out for Alone in Berlin. It’s the real story of a German couple, played by Emma Thompson and Brendan Gleeson, who started opposing the Nazis in Berlin in the 1940s in a very unusual and clever way soon after they learned their boy died on the front. Alone in Berlin launches on January 13th.

Arsenal

Nicholas Cage, John Cusack, and Adrian Grenier play in this mobster movie. Arsenal is about a mob guy who’s looking to save his kidnapped brother and hits theaters on January 6th.

Despicable Me 3

The one character that we missed in the standalone Minions movie was Gru. But Gru is back in Despicable Me 3, and he’s going to do a bunch of good. Better yet, the same unmistakable Steve Carell voices him. The movie arrives on June 30th, which means we’re going to see plenty of clips in the meantime.

Dunkirk

We’ve known about Dunkirk for a while now. Christopher Nolan has been working on an epic World War 2 movie that focuses on the Dunkirk evacuation of the British forces fighting in Europe at the beginning of the war. Tom Hardy and a bunch of other actors are starring in this one, and the first Dunkirk trailer will be shown right before Rogue One begins.

Fate of the Furious

It’s time for Fast 8 action, and we already saw the first trailer for the movie — the actual title of the film is Fate of the Furious. Let’s revisit it:

Norman

Norman

is a new Richard Gere movie that I’m already looking forward to seeing. Coming out next March, the film is about an apparently annoying guy – Norman Oppenheimer — who make friends with a politician at a young point in his life. Soon, however, that politician becomes an influential leader, and Norman’s still his friend.

Snatched

Looking for a silly Amy Schumer movie? How about an Amy Schumer movie that also has Goldie Hawn in it? Snatched is exactly that, and it launches on May 12th.

The Boss Baby

Despicable Me 3

isn’t the only new animation coming next year. The Boss Baby is like The Secret Life of Pets. But with babies. Alec Baldwin voices the boss baby.

The Bye Bye Man

It’s scary movie time again, horror movie fans, and we’ve got a new flick coming in mid-January about a man who’s believed to be the real reason why humans do unspeakable things. The Bye Bye Man comes out on January 13th, here’s a look at the latest trailer for it.

The Last Word

The Last Word

is a dark comedy about a retired businesswoman (Shirley MacLaine) who hires a reporter (Amanda Seyfried) to write her obituary while she’s still alive. Nothing can go wrong there, can it? The flick launches on March 3rd.

Unforgettable

That moment when you hear your ex is getting remarried and you’re plotting ways to make the life of that new person a living hell. That’s Unforgettable, starring Kathrine Heigl (former wife) and Rosario Dawson (new love). Madness begins on April 21st.

Chris Smith Senior Writer
