2017 is going to be another exceptionally busy year for Marvel Studios, and it all begins with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in May. We got our first glimpse of the sequel back in October, but over the weekend, Marvel shared the first full-length teaser for the movie, full of all the action and music you’ve come to expect.

While the teaser is chock full of great moments, Baby Groot unsurprisingly steals the show. To be honest, I’m not sure Rocket really thought it through when he entrusted an atomic bomb to a tiny sentient plant, but what do I know:

Though it’s a funny, exciting, explosive trailer, it doesn’t really touch on the actual plot of the movie. Thankfully, we have a synopsis for that:

“Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.”

Earlier this year, Marvel announced that Kurt Russell would step into the role of Ego, the cosmic being who fathered Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord). In the comics, he takes the form of a planet, but we’ll see a humanoid Ego in the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, 2017.
