Amazon Prime

is one of the best values around for people who shop at Amazon. The free two-day shipping alone is worth the price of admission, but Amazon heaps on a ton of other benefits as well. Examples include unlimited on demand access to Amazon’s Prime Video library, unlimited streaming of more than 2 million songs, free Prime-exclusive gaming content on Twitch, unlimited photo storage, unlimited access to all of the books in Amazon’s Prime Reading catalog, and more.

You can sign up to try Amazon Prime for free using this link, and you had better do it fast. Why? Because this Friday, for 24 hours only, new customers will be able to sign up for a full year of Prime at a rare discount.

Amazon announced on Wednesday that it will offer a limited-time discount on Prime memberships this Friday. From 12:00AM PST on Friday morning all the way until 11:59PM PST on Friday night, the cost of a 1-year Amazon Prime subscription will drop from $99 annually, which is already a great price, to just $79. That $20 discount won’t come along with any restrictions at all — you’ll be able to enjoy all the same Amazon Prime benefits that everyone else enjoys.

According to Amazon, the discount is being offered to celebrate the arrival of Amazon’s new original series The Grand Tour. Here’s a blurb from the company’s press release:

In anticipation of the launch of the Amazon Original Series The Grand Tour, Amazon is offering a limited time promotion—new members can sign up for Amazon Prime for just $79, a 20% savings on the first year’s annual membership fee. The first episode of The Grand Tour will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, November 18, and the one-day discount will be available starting Friday at 12:00am ET and ending at 11:59pm PT.

Of course, we’re sure the timing of the offer also has a little something to do with Amazon’s big Black Friday sales, which kick off the very same day.

If you’re looking to take advantage of this great opportunity to save on Amazon Prime, just visit this link on Friday to sign up.
