There are plenty of horror stories in this week’s movie trailers roundup, but also the first new trailer of Fifty Shades Darker — although that could also be a horror movie, come to think of it. Let’s dig in!

DON’T MISS: 10 best iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus cases we’ve found so far

Annabelle 2

Let’s not call this horrific doll Chucky. Instead, we’re going to name her Annabelle and hope for the best. Annabelle 2 comes out May 19th, 2017, and it’s going to get as creepy as they get. Because Chucky.

Bastards

Now this is a silly comedy I can get behind, so that I stop thinking about freaky dolls that kill people in movies. Bastards launches on January 27th, 2017, and presents us a simple story. Owen Wilson and Ed Helms play two brothers that learn from their mom (Glenn Close) that she has no idea who their father is. Roadtrip!

Deepwater Horizon

The true story of the offshore drilling rig Deepwater Horizon that created the worst oil spill in US history is now a movie. Deepwater Horizon hits cinemas on September 30th. And it can’t possibly have a happy ending, can it?

Fifty Shades Darker

Whether you loved or hated the first movie in this trilogy, the fact remains that come February 10th, 2017, the new Fifty Shades Darker is hitting cinemas. The same Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan star, and you can expect pretty much the same type of story. Let’s just hope the official score will be at least as good as the first one. Here’s the first trailer:

London Town

A movie about music, the Clash, and London. That’s London Town, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Tom Hughes, and Natascha McElhone.

Miss Sloane

Miss Sloane

may sound like a boring movie title, but it’s a film about a very hot topic: gun control legislation. Starring Jessica Chastain, the movie premieres on December 9th, 2016.

Moana

It’s not the first time we see a trailer for Moana, an animation set to debut on November 23rd. Moana tells the story of a young woman who’s looking to find a mysterious island. Demi-god Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson, is supposed to help out. What could go wrong?

Nocturnal Animals

In Nocturnal Animals, an art gallery owner believes that her ex-husband’s violent novel represents a threat to her safety. It certainly sounds like the kind of thriller you want to keep an eye out for. Nocturnal Animals comes out on December 9th, starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The Bye Bye Man

The Bye Bye Man

is a mysterious character who’s at the root of all evil. You can’t say his name, they say. And they’re probably right. The Bye Bye Man comes out on January 13th, 2017.

The Promise

Inspired by real-life events, The Promise is set during the last days of the Ottoman Empire. The film follows a love triangle between a medical student (Oscar Isaac), a woman (Charlotte Le Bon), and an American journalist based in Paris (Christian Bale).

The Free World

In The Free World, a former convict becomes involved with a woman who’s married to an abusive husband. Boyd Holbrook and Elisabeth star in this drama, which hits theaters next week, on September 23rd.

Trolls

In case you forgot about it, there’s a Trolls animation coming soon. Trolls launches on November 4th so here’s a new trailer to keep you entertained.
