Britney Spears’ career may be filled with no shortage of ups and downs, but the pop sensation has impressively managed to remain a relevant fixture in the entertainment industry for a good 15+ years.

Currently holding a residence in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood, Spears recently took some time off from performing to record her ninth studio album; not too shabby for someone who endured and came back from a highly publicized nervous breakdown a few years back.

Spears’ forthcoming album, titled Glory, isn’t slated to hit stores and streaming services until August 26. But as things tend to go with big name releases, the album was leaked online over the weekend.

In the wake of the leak, Billboard put up a rather mini-review of Spears’ latest effort.

Glory, which features the single “Make Me” featuring G-Eazy, clocks in at 12 tracks on the standard edition and 17 on the deluxe. Collaborators on the set are extensive. Writers include Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels, Young Fyre, Sterling Fox, Oak and Phoebe Ryan, among others, while production comes courtesy of Burns, Nick Monson, Mattman & Robin, Cashmere Cat, Robopop and more.

The album is much livelier than predecessor Britney Jean, which arrived in 2013 and became her lowest-selling album to debut on the charts. Glory contains the previously released “Private Show,” “Do You Wanna Come Over?” and “Clumsy,” all of which were issued to streaming services over the past few weeks. Elsewhere on the album, the songs’ paces vacillate, but Spears is clearly here to party.

We won’t provide a direct link to the album, but it’s certainly out there if you’re intent on finding it. All the same, I doubt that the leak will have much of an impact on album sales. Spears fans are nothing if not loyal and it’s entirely possible that the leak will only help to generate more hype and potentially provide a boost in sales, if anything.

That said, the album’s debut single Make Me featuring G-Eazy can be viewed below. Is it anything special? Not really, but hey, at least it’s not another Crossroads. Hopefully the new album is just a tad better than the generic pop song below.
