HBO’s smash hit Game of Thrones is set to return with new episodes in less than two weeks. Can you believe it? The first episode of season 6 premieres on April 24th at 9:00 p.m. EDT, and it’s set to be one of the most widely watched premieres in history — which is fairly impressive when you consider the fact that HBO is a premium channel. Of course, you can still watch the premiere episode of Game of Thrones season 6 for free by signing up for a free trial of HBO Now, the network’s online-only streaming service that doesn’t even require a pay TV subscription. Everyone knows that.

What you might not know, however, is that there’s a perfectly legal way to stream each and every episode of Game of Thrones season 6 as soon as they air.

Jon Snow is dead. The White Walkers continue their march. Princess Daenerys Targaryen has been captured. Westeros is in turmoil.

This season is going to be… intense.

If ever there was a show that made HBO’s monthly subscription fee worth paying, it’s Game of Thrones. $180 per year is a lot to cough up for a single network though, so there are plenty of people out there who simply cannot warrant the expense. Sure, you can try to find someone who will lend you their cable company login or HBO Now account credentials, but now there’s a better way.

For a limited time, you can get a free three-month trial of HBO Now and access to HBO’s entire library of content simply by picking up a new phone on Verizon’s network.

Here’s how the promotion works: any new or existing Verizon Wireless subscriber who upgrades a current phone on contract or activates a new line on contract will get a complementary three-month trial of HBO Now. The service allows user to stream all of HBO’s content on demand to any smartphone or compatible set-top box.

“To be eligible you’ll need to upgrade or activate a new line on a smart phone on a device payment plan or a tablet with a 2-year activation or device payment plan,” Verizon explained in its announcement. “In addition, if you upgrade or activate a new phone on a Verizon Plan XL or larger and choose the device payment option, you’ll also receive 2 GB of monthly bonus data for each new or upgraded line.”

Additional details can be found on Verizon’s site. And if you take advantage of the promotion now, you should have just enough time to binge watch the first five seasons in their entirety before season 6 premieres. You might have to miss some work or school to fit it all in, but this is Game of Thrones we’re talking about here. Totally worth it.
