The Division, one of the most anticipated games of the year will be on store shelves in less than 24 hours, but a huge leak over the weekend revealed just about everything there is to know about the game ahead of time.
[If you want to go into The Division completely unspoiled, stop reading now.]
Alright, still with us? Let’s dive in.
The most important information revealed in the data mine has to be the mission count. If the files accurately reflect the missions in the campaign, then players can expect to work their way through 26 missions in The Division. Based on what I’ve played, that could easily account for up to 15 hours of gameplay or more.
Of course, the further you get into the campaign, the more powerful your weaponry will need to be. Thankfully, it looks like there will be somewhere in the realm of 139 weapons in the game at launch, including assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, shotguns, rifles and sidearms. You can see them all on this spreadsheet.
Interestingly, despite the fact that Ubisoft has said on multiple occasions that Brooklyn will not be represented in the game at launch, the borough is mentioned at least once in the data mined files. In all likelihood, we won’t be able to visit Brooklyn until the developer makes it available as DLC, but we’ll know for sure tomorrow.
Those are the key findings from the data mine, but if you want to see everything that itsgamerdoc found, be sure to check out the full thread on Reddit.
The Division launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 8th.
