There’s no easier way to create, edit and share documents online than Google Docs. It doesn’t receive as much attention as many of Google’s standout services, but it’s an incredibly useful tool, and one that many students and full-time employees alike use on a daily basis. And best of all, it’s free.

This week, Google is sprucing Docs up with a few new templates in order to better compete with Microsoft Office.

Google revealed on Wednesday that it has collaborated with five experts in their field in order to bring new templates to the ever-expanding collection available for Docs, Sheets and Slides. All five templates will be available on PC, Mac, Android and iOS.

  • First up is Reading Rainbow, the children’s TV series that was recently revived thanks to Kickstarter. Reading Rainbow created a lesson plan and a book report template for Docs.
  • The Google Science Fair also joined in with an appropriately named science fair template for Slides.
  • Intuit’s QuickBooks did what they do best by bringing an annual business budget template to Sheets.
  • Venture capital firm Google Ventures wants to make it easier for entrepreneurs to show off their great ideas with the pitch template for Slides.
  • Finally, Made to Stick authors Chip and Dan Heath have designed a big idea template for Slides.

If you’ve been struggling to find the right template for your presentation, it might not be a bad idea to see if these new templates can bring your project to life.
