The Oculus Rift PCs you were looking for are finally here

Facebook’s Oculus Rift has been available for preorder for weeks, but you should know the virtual reality headset does have some hardware requirements when it comes to the PC that’s supposed to bring all that VR content to your eyes. And your computer might simply not be good enough for what the Oculus Rift needs.

Thankfully, you’ll soon be able to preorder Oculus Rift PC bundles. And if you have preordered your Oculus Rift headset, you’re going to receive a discount on the next PC purchase.

The company announced on Tuesday that the first Oculus Ready PCs from Asus, Alienware and Dell can be purchased starting February 16th, at 8:00 a.m. PT. An Oculus Rift PC bundles come with Oculus-certified PC, an Oculus Rift headset, sensor, Remote, Xbox One controller, EVE: Valkyrie Founder’s Pack and Lucy’s Tale.

The price for the bundle is $1,499, but that’s going to be available for a “limited time only,” with participating partners including Amazon, Best Buy and the Microsoft Store. The bundles will ship in limited quantities to select countries starting in April.

The following images show the specs of these first Oculus Rift PC rigs, as well as their prices – in case you have ordered the Oculus Rift package already, you’ll save $100 to $200 when buying any of these models.
