The age of the virtual reality headset is about to begin in earnest. Just moments ago, Oculus VR announced that Oculus Rift preorders will open on Oculus.com at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 6th.

As announced last month, every Oculus Rift will come bundled with a copy of the made-for-VR 3D platformer Lucky’s Tale, but Oculus is also going to include a free copy of the highly anticipated EVE: Valkyrie for those that preorder the device.

In order to field questions and further discuss the preorder and release of the Oculus Rift headset, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey will host a Reddit AMA on January 6th starting at 6 p.m. PT. Keep your eyes peeled for the link to appear in the coming days on the I Am A subreddit if you want to get your question in before anyone else.

The Oculus Rift still doesn’t have a set price or release date, but the company has said that the plan is to launch the device in the first quarter of 2016. There’s no telling how many units Oculus will be able to produce for this initial batch, so if you’re dying to jump into the world of VR as soon as possible, you’re going to want to be on Oculus.com first thing Wednesday morning.
