With the company reportedly set to unveil its highly anticipated Model 3 this coming March, there have been rumblings that Tesla will also take the opportunity to give the revered Model S an ever so slight facelift.

The rumor stems from a since-deleted post on the Tesla Motor Club website and was originally spotted by Electrek. According to the post, a Model S owner was told by a Tesla service advisor that the company plans to initiate a small “facelift” on the Model S in an effort to make its front-end resemble more closely the front-end of the Model X.

Is it possible? Sure, and some have even speculated that a slight tweak to the front of the Model S may have something to do with maximizing the utility of upcoming Autopilot software updates.

Regardless, early 2016 should prove to be incredibly exciting for electric car enthusiasts. Not only will we finally be able to see what type of design aesthetic Tesla has in mind for its Model 3, but we’ll also be given our first look at what type of car Faraday Future has been working on.
