Google plans to release two Nexus handsets this year, according to a number of reports that have probably covered all the main details about the handsets. LG made a new Nexus 5 for Google while Huawei built a new Nexus 6. Both handsets have been featured in numerous image leaks, with reports saying the new Nexus smartphones will both bring new features including fingerprint sensors and a USB Type-C connector.

Now, a new leak shows an extensive specs list for one of the handsets, seemingly confirming some of the past leaks and suggesting that the new Nexus 5 could be even more affordable than we thought.

The screenshot below, posted on Weibo initially, says the phone will have a 5.2-inch display with 2K resolution, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 13-megapixel Sony IMX278 rear camera with optical image stabilization.

Google has not made any announcements regarding its 2015 Nexus plans, but assuming this particular leak is genuine, then the Nexus 5 (2015) might be the affordable new Marshmallow phone some Android users may have been craving.

The fact that the phone sports a Snapdragon 808 processor rather than the higher-end Snapdragon 810 CPU (and that it has 3GB LPDDR3 RAM rather than the newer, faster LPDDR4 memory) might be an indication that Google isn’t planning to repeat its 2014 Nexus 6 pricing mistake, at least for the new 5-inch Nexus.

It’s not clear at this point when the new Nexus handsets will be released, but they’ll probably be available for sale this fall, right after Android 6.0 begins to roll out.
